Cape Hatteras is located in Dare County and is a short trip away from John Yancey Oceanfront Inn. This is the perfect day trip for those looking for a very scenic view. It is also a great visit for those that want to add some cardio to their day, as there are 257 steps to the top! Don’t worry for those still wanting to visit, it is still an amazing view even if you decide not to climb!
2. The Lost Colony
When visiting the Outer Banks you’ll enjoy this visit as you’ll learn more about the history of the Outer Banks. This is said to be the first permanent English settlement. This is great for all ages and they put on a fantastic reenactment!
3. Ocracoke
Take a ferry out to Ocracoke. You can enjoy the entertainment, history, food, shopping and much more! This is great for everyone in the family and a fun adventure while getting there!
